Paisley City is a movement founded by Jim and friends to secure city status for Paisley and we are asking Paisley Buddies everywhere who share that ambition to join us on our journey.
Many people believe the Council let the Paisley down after achieivng so much and coming so close in the 2021 City of Culture bid, when they then did not enter the contest to become Scotlands 8th City in 2022 when the National and International profile of Scotlands most important town was at its highest.
We believe city status will be the catalyst to unlock "Paisley Potential" and kick-start "Paisley Prosperity" to make it a better place for everyone.
Add your name to our growing list of residents, businesses and friends of Paisley who believe our famous town is long-overdue this honour. Supporting the campaign will help encourage investment, regeneration and jobs for our future city of Paisley.
Joining together to send a clear message that Scotland's largest and most historically important town NO LONGER wishes to sit in the shadow of Glasgow

“RDC lost in 2000 and 2002, then when we had a real chance via Queen Elizabeth II Jubliee in 2022 after being pipped by Coventry to the CoC title when we'd have been a shoo-in for City status they bottled it. What is going on at Renfrewshire Council?”
J McGuirePaisley Partner“A no-brainer. The weavers of yesteryear and those who've gone before us would be turning in their graves if we didn't support this people-led (not local government) campaign and create a chance to make Paisley great again.”
